We invite researchers to send their papers to the Fifth Workshop in Economic Development that will take place in Santiago, Chile on Friday January 13th, 2017 at the Instituto de Economía, PUC-Chile (campus San Joaquín).
The objective of this workshop is to gather a select number of papers in economic development (broadly defined), which will be presented to an audience of researchers working in related areas in Chile. We will additionally have the presentation of professors Taryn Dinkelman from Dartmouth College and Bilal Zia from the World Bank, who will also be present at the workshop to give feedback to the authors.The workshop will have a maximum of 5 papers, which will be presented in individual sessions, with a discussant and an open floor for discussion. We especially invite papers that have not yet been submitted to academic journals.
The deadline for submissions is November 11 th, 2016. Papers should be submitted in pdf or word by email to: devoworkshopchile@gmail.com.
The organizing committee will contact selected authors by December 20th. .We may eventually have limited funding for travel. Please indicate when submitting if you need this financial aid. We will let know selected papers as soon as possible if this financial aid is available.
